Kabuki is a form of traditional Japanese Dance Drama which began performing during the Edo Period in the 17th Century.
These theater groups travelled the lands to perform for villagers and commoners. Predominantly made up pf male actors dressed in an extravagant costumes and supernatural makeup, they shared stories of love, moral conflicts and historical events.
